The National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA) was founded to expand opportunities for student-athletes and preserve the sport of collegiate wrestling. With many NCAA programs lost due to budget cuts and institutional changes, the NCWA provides a platform for students to continue competing at the collegiate level.
We work with universities to establish wrestling programs under the direction of athletic departments, student services or sport club departments, ensuring that athletes can pursue both academic excellence and their passion for wrestling. By operating both inside traditional athletic departments as well as within student services, student engagement or sport club departments NCWA teams help schools balance resources while fostering growth in the sport and encouraging additional student enrollment at the member institution.
At our core, the NCWA is driven by a commitment to student-athletes. Through competition, leadership, and community involvement, we equip students with the skills to excel—both on the mat and in life. Join us in shaping the future of collegiate wrestling.
